Mr. Kaip has over 25 years of experience in the mining business as a geologist and equity analyst. Most recently he was a Managing Director at BMO Capital Markets where he was co-head of global mining research. While at BMO Capital Markets, Mr. Kaip was consistently ranked as a top equity analyst covering the Large and Small/Mid Cap Precious Metal sector. Prior to mining research, Mr. Kaip was a geologist working on projects throughout North, South and Central America. Mr. Kaip is a Professional Geoscientist and holds a B.Sc. in Geology and Earth Science, from Carlton University and a Masters in Geology and Earth Science, from the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Hynes is a geological engineer, having worked as head of exploration for Lafarge Northwest Division and serves as Board member for various companies in the mining sector, including his role as Executive Chair of KORE Mining Ltd. With over 15 years in the mining and metals sector, his experience includes preliminary resource identification, resource evaluation and testing, reserve calculations, property acquisition and financial analysis. Mr. Hynes is a founder of Reperio Resources Corp. and KORE Mining Ltd. Mr. Hynes holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (1999) specializing in geological and geotechnical engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
Ms. McLay is an award-winning British Columbia executive and former Chief Financial Officer of TransLink. She has over 30 years of experience and relationships in public and private British Columbian companies. Ms. McLay started her career in forestry with several senior executive roles at Canfor Corp. and Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Ltd. Ms. McLay currently serves on the boards of Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, Coast Mountain Bus Company, and GreenPower Motor Company. Ms. McLay is an International Certified Business Coach, a fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia and holds the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) designation.
Mr. Ovsenek has over 20 years of experience in the precious metals industry. Before founding P2 Gold Inc. where Mr. Ovsenek is founder, CEO and Director, he was President and CEO of Pretium Resources Inc. where he led development of the high-grade gold Brucejack Mine, which has been operating profitably since commercial start-up in 2017. Prior to Pretium, he served for 15 years in senior management roles for Silver Standard Resources Inc. Mr. Ovsenek holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, and holds the Chartered Director (C.Dir) designation.
Mr. Trebilcock has over 25 years of experience as a process engineer, management consultant, and mining executive. He is currently CEO of KORE Mining Ltd ad previous to that was Chief Development Officer of Nevsun Resources, responsible for strategy, corporate development, investor relations and exploration. Nevsun sold to Zijin Mining for $1.9 billion after a year-long contested defense process led by Mr. Trebilcock. Mr. Trebilcock also drove M&A at Nevsun, including the 2016 acquisition of Reservoir Minerals, and led Nevsun’s investor relations program for almost a decade. Mr. Trebilcock holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, an MBA from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Director.
Mr. Whittle is a Chartered Professional Accountant with 30 years of senior executive experience in the mining industry. Most recently, Mr. Whittle was Chief Financial Officer of Alexco Resource Corp. for seven years and prior to that CFO of Hillsborough Resources Limited. Mr. Whittle has extensive experience on audit, compensation and special committees and is currently on the boards of Viva Gold Corp., Treasury Metals Inc., and Kalo Gold Corp. where he serves on or chairs the Audit and Compensation Committees. Mr. Whittle holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of British Columbia.
